New OOWA Guidance Document: Greywater Systems

OOWA is pleased to announce the release of our newest Guidance Document: Greywater Systems.

This much-anticipated addition to OOWA’s Guidance Document Series, produced by the OOWA Onsite Technical Committee, provides practical information on greywater systems in Ontario, including regulatory requirements, design considerations, system configurations, and emerging trends in water reuse.

The document explores key considerations for designing greywater systems, including design flow, soil and site conditions, loading rates, system layout, and the use of vertical versus horizontal configurations. It also includes a case study and an overview of emerging approaches to greywater reuse.

We want your feedback!

We know this document has been highly anticipated, and we encourage members to take a look and share their thoughts.

All OOWA Guidance Documents are living documents. We are always accepting feedback and welcome your comments, questions, suggestions, and practical experience. Your input helps us keep our guidance current, relevant, and useful to the onsite wastewater community.

Thank you to the OOWA Onsite Technical Committee and everyone who contributed to bringing this guidance to completion. We look forward to hearing what you think!
