Annual Education Scholarships

The Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association sponsors two annual education scholarship awards to support student members or students of OOWA members who are enrolled in a post-secondary program and are within the returning years of their respective full-time programs.

OOWA generously awards the following scholarships:

University Award – $3,000.00
College Award – $2,000.00

2025 Deadline: February 10, 2025

Our 2024 OOWA University Scholarship Recipient is Shiva Akhtarian from York University. Thank you, Ontario Rural Wastewater Centre for Sponsoring our scholarship program this year. Our Annual Convention & Expo 50/50 Raffle raised over $1500- Congratulations to Doug Bingham from Newmarket Precast for winning! We would like to extend an extra special THANK YOU to Doug for donating 90% of his prize back to OOWA's Scholarship Program. We appreciate your ongoing support! College Award

Congratulations to Alyssa Minassian for being our 2024 College Award recipient. Alyssa is enrolled as a second year student in the Environmental Technology program at Durham College.
