On October 14th OOWA hosted its Permits and System Options: What Comes Next After January 1st? workshop in Vaughan. The purpose of this session was to update our members about the changes coming in the new year as a result of the new CAN/BNQ 3680/600 standard requirements for some onsite wastewater systems. This session was also an opportunity for system manufacturers to provide updates as to their positions in the market in relation to the new standard and for regulators to inform our members as to how they will be dealing with permits under the new regulation. OOWA board member, Marie-Christine Belanger, gave a presentation that provided an overview of the CAN/BNQ 3680/600 standard and why it is important to our industry.
